Dancers and other young athletes and performers depend on the support staff at their school, club, or company. The fear of rejection—and potentially ending their career—always plays a role in that relationship. And because appearance is often part of their evaluation, these young people all too frequently develop eating disorders, which they hide from their coaches. That’s why they must receive expert and independent guidance for their physical and mental health. Only then can they achieve peak performance in a healthy way
